If you are a labourer and carrying a heavy object can cause a huge strain on your spinal cord causing back ache. One must also see to it that they do not lift much heavy object as this can cause the spinal cord to break if pushed a lot. If you are working in an office and if you have a desk job and don’t move for long period of time your muscles will be strained. One should get our of their chair every 20-30 mins and stretch their muscles so as to avoid major complications.
- Arthritis – This is one of the most common issues faced in the musculoskeletal disorder arising from the work place. Mostly osteoarthritis are seen in people mostly at the hip or the knee joint. This is mostly seen in people which required heavy manual labor like in construction field, agriculture, mining and many others as well. This is mostly caused due to pulling or carrying heavy objects which is way more heavier than your body`s limits. Doing so has a great toll on your body and working for long hours in such high stress job on your muscles can lead to wear and tear of the body. More than 10 million cases of arthritis are commonly reported in America alone.
- Slippery situation – In many cases people slip at the work place causing a series issue to their body. This is mostly experienced by employees when they visit the washroom where the floor is wet by just cleaning it. Many a times employees wont check the washing sign which is hanged at the door or placed near the water logged area and employees would slip in and break their joints leading to fatal issues.
- Hernia – This is mostly seen in labourers or packers and movers. Hernia is a defect on the muscles on your spinal cord. This happens mainly when the person lifts something heavy in a wrong way and continues to do so. Many a times people going to the gym also develop hernia. People are keen on keeping their health fit and looking good that they exceed their body`s limits and keep on working out with out the help of a professional resulting in wrong posture and lifting weights the wrong way. One must always consult a professional while lifting things which are a lot heavier so as to do it in the right way.

- One should be vigilant about their surroundings and not crash into things.
- The management should give proper training to staff on handling various machineries and certain guide lines should be set explaining how a certain task is to be performed.
- Give rest to your body at certain intervals so as to keep the muscles relaxed and stretch.
- If you are on a desk job make sure to take a walk every 30 mins, this will stretch not only your lower body but also be a refreshment for your mental health as well moving away from the desk and interacting with other people
There are many issues that arise at the workplace, however, if one is vigilant enough and smart to take care of their body they won’t have any bad issues at the workplace.
